Superb women's Carbon Boardman Road Bike in Crewe, Cheshire for sale
Stunning women's Boardman Team full Carbon Fi road bike. Near mint condition!! Measurement between centre of bottom bracket to the top of the seat post tube is 50cm This is the rare metallic grey edition with pink decals and high spec including FSA, Shimano 105 & Mavic Aksium Race wheels. It looks amazing. It's very light too. It's also very aero dynamic very much like the Boardman Air machines. Later and current variants were not built to this spec so please no emails telling me you can buy a new one from Halfords for less! This is a different bike. It is in near mint condition. Never raced. We bought it for our daughter however she has developed scoliosis so is unable to ride for a while. The proceeds will be put towards her treatment. It comes with Boardman alloy post and women's specific FiZik vitesse wing flex saddle. The seat post is cut quite short. (Approx 7") We did this because the frame is a little on the big side for her so we had the post shortened so it could be set at the lowest level. The pink Boardman bar tape is brand new and sets the bike off beautifully. I have noticed on a short ride that there is a small problem with the chain when you freewheel/pedal back. It seems to go slack. I have recently had a new freehub body fitted at our local Halfords and as a result the newly fitted freehub is very sticky. I have tested the bike with my wife's wheel and it works fine. I have spoken to Halfords who have agreed to investigate but I don't want to leave the wheel there and it stall the sale so it will be sold as it is. This is the only fault with what is a truly fantastic machine. It is in near mint condition as you can see in the photos. The paint has been regularly polished with Auto Glym and looks beautiful.There is a scuff on the right hand side lever and a couple of tiny chips on the left hand rear stay but that's it.
